Crystal Peaks expansion plan

Just reading in the Star that Planning permission is being sought for the expansion of Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre.

If granted, four new retail units and a gym or nursery*would be built. The retail units would be built on the ground floor*close to the East*Mall entrance and the*first floor would be converted into a gym or nursery.

The units would be directly accessible from the Red Car Park.

It doesn't say if parking spaces will be lost though, just that there will be minor alterations to the parking layout. I have just been to the Peaks and there are already some empty units so why are they creating more.

I think Peaks are interested in a 'better class of clientele' (I blame M&S) and have set rents higher (thus the empty units) saying that, don't be surprised if we see a Primark or Wetherspoons!

I think they would be better off getting the roof sorted . Glass panels falling out so it is all netted now and I know people who work there calling it Crystal Leaks , If you wonder why go when it is raining a look at the amount of buckets all over , catching the leaks

The place seems to be permanently gridlocked thanks to those narrow, single-lane roads.

Disabled parking is an absolute disgrace.

Your welcome to have the one at Hillsborough if Mosborough desperately wants to try a Wetherspoons. It's rubbish, only pensioners use it daytime nowadays, and half empty most nights.
