Bonzo77 Â Â 13 #1 Posted April 11, 2011 Can you believe someone said this to me today?? Â It's like saying Einstein was thick! Â I had to remind the reprobate that popular music would sound nothing like it does if The Beatles wouldn't have invented some of the techniques they did such as cutting and paisting, overdubbing and sampling to name a few. Â Some people need to think before they open their mouth. There is a difference between not being a fan and saying that they are crap!! Bruno   10 #2 Posted April 11, 2011 The main mistake the person said to you was "Are" instead of "Were"  There's nowt up with Beatles music
 Share this content via...
Hots on   10 #3 Posted April 11, 2011 They are very over-idolised, but most people in music acknowledge that their music really does stand up, and they deserves all the praise heaped on them.
 Share this content via...

You might not be a fan of their music, but you can't deny their genius! Â Not without being ignorant anyway!
 Share this content via...

Ousetunes   10 #12 Posted April 12, 2011 (edited) I must admit the world would feel a whole lot emptier without Octopus's Garden, Yellow Submarine and Don't Pass Me By.  And can you dig it, that was just the drummer!  But you're right; they couldn't even hold a light to the Monkees.  Personally, it's the Nolans for me. They were before their time, make no mistake about that and I cannot wait till the Nolans Convention at Blackpool Winter Gardens in August. Strangely enough, there's room for three more passengers in my Sierra.  C'mon, I'll even buy yer a stick a rock.
