Sheffield had the greatest music scene next to Liverpool.

Yes I do remember and was thinking of my brother's band only this week. He played in The Vantennas and I have a copy of a great poster where they were the support band to The Rolling Stones at the City Hall in the 1960's. I have also a Sheffield Star pull-out 'special' about the local music scene, form that era, with the Vantennas photo on the front cove and would you believe a photo of an up-and-coming band, from Liverpool, on the back cover - The Beatles!

Good prompt thanks for the memories!

Although I was only 4 years old at the time, I remember Dave Graham Four and The Dave Hawley Combo. You could write a book! In fact someone has, it's called 'Not Like A Proper Job', available now!

zeke started this off and now he's gone missing! I don't think of myself as being 'into', so much as being there at the time. You're right again, Frank married Jean and Dave married Lyn who are sisters. If the 80's was your period, what did you think of 10CC?

10CC are Ok not a big fan, but they have done some classics.
When I meant 80's, I was talking about Jam / Blondie etc.

Question

What is the link between Donny Osmond, Take That, and Local Band Boy on a Dolphin?

The Tremors were a Derbyshire band, we used to go to Lathkilldale Hotel every Sunday to see them. No bands on in Sheffield in those days.

Mikey, they've all played G&T's in Hoyland?
