this ents24 site is pretty good man! - reviews too!

got to say tho that the Sandman list has about 6 every night listed!

there's no way I'd pay for newspaper dudes

and by gig i mean people playing live instruments.

if u don't wanna pay get the metro dude,

loadsa listings for jazz/blues/rock/comedy/theatre and it's free!!!

only drawback is that it lists yorkshire so u have to read thoroughly and doesn't tend to have many local gigs.

The Sheffield Telegraph is probably the most detailed Sheffield listings of anywhere.. though I think Martin Lilleker, who had an encyclopediac knowedg of music, has stopped doing it now...

u could also try http://www.l2sb.co.uk but they, having strong links with sandman, are just as lazy as them when it comes to updating the gig guide. 11th of feb and still no feb listings! just get a copy of sandman and keep it for the month.

I always like to mention Exposed magazine for free listings.
