Livery Yards - north west area of Sheffield

Hi

I am possibly moving to Sheffield and I am trying to find livery yards in the area and rough prices (so I can try and calculate costs). I was looking at the Loxley and surrounding area.

I would be looking for DIY (that could also offer assists if I get stuck), all year group turnout with 24 hour turnout in the summer.

A surface and access to bridleways from the yard a bonus.

I would be working in the city centre and don't want to have too long a commute.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Try Lea Bank in Loxley, think they have everything you're after. The only thing is the YO's wife is an acquired taste apparently, so think they do have quite a turnover.

There's Gate Farm, just outside Oughtibridge. Used to keep mine there. Very relaxed YO and definitely group turnout/24 hr t/o but not got a menage as far as I know. The YO's name is Butcher which might help you find contact details

You could try Moorwood Farm, Riggs High Rd, Sheffield S6 6GR

or White Acres Farm, Spout Ln, Loxley, Sheffield S6 6EF

I've no experience of either but they are both close to Loxley.

Think Moorwood only have individual little paddocks, but they do have a menage (worth asking about group turnout though?) Don't know about White acres t/o but they do have a school

Totally forgot the obvious one, Low Ash, between Loxley and Worrall, has a school, group turnout and the YO is sane. Her name's Linda Webster
