It’s one of the most recorded songs of all-time.  A second favourite is Mungo Jerry’s: ‘In the Summertime’
 Share this content via...

purplepippa   11 #31 Posted October 19, 2003 The ultimate summer song has to be Perfect Day sung by Lou Reed (as in Trainspotting when he sinks through the floor).  Oh yeah!
 Share this content via...
Funke88 Â Â 10 #32 Posted October 20, 2003 When I was 17 I went on a holiday to Majorca with a friend. The song they played over and over was "Won't you take me to Funky Town. A big disco number in those days and I don't remember who played it. Every time I hear it, which is not very often these days, it makes me remember my holiday to Majorca. We had a blast. Drank too much, danced all night etc etc........... say no more. Makes me feel good when I hear it. I start bopping around.
 Share this content via...
