Accompanied by Sheffield's best blues musicians this is one not to miss - 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month  9pm, free entry.  Wednesday 24th January: Quiz Night The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize.  £30 + more to be won!  Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner.  9pm, 50p entry  Thursday 25th January: Jam Night Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield.  Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more.  Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in.  8.30pm, free entry  Friday 26th January: The Tripdown Project The TripDown Project are an Alternative Rock Band from the North of England. Epic melodies, loud Guitars, thundering drums and technology add a modern twist to the classic rock trio!  Influences: Biffy Clyro, Muse, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, The Beatles, Supergrass, Incubus, 70s rock, the list goes on..........  9.30pm, free entry  Saturday 27th January: Resurrection 100% live 5 piece rock/metal covers band from South Yorkshire playing kick ass tracks from Metallica, AC/DC, Kiss, Poison, Judas Priest, and many more!  9.30pm, free entry  Saturday 28th December: 'Jama Jam Sunday Special The Carnival will be hosting a very special Jam at the White Lion raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support. The wearing of PJ's/nighties/onsies are all ENCOURAGED! (Prize for the Best Dressed). There will be raffle prizes a plenty and the usual choice of fine beers. MUSICIANS, come along with your weapon of choice (keys/drums available) and join in with a couple of songs, non-musicians, come along and support this great cause.
