Mooks   60 #1 Posted January 18, 2018  Hope lm allowed to start a new thread but l thought l would tell ye a about how Boro are helping local team Hartlepool from going out of business. They suggested boro fans at the weekend that are not going to QPR this weekend go to Hartlepools game against Wrexham . Boro have sold close on 4 thousand tickets for that game so its a sell out. 5.500 Think Newcastle and Sunderland have also helped out but mostly a Boro effort.. Also its poss to have a game at the riverside all proceeds to the Pools.. Think its a great thing Boro have done as they helped us out in 86 when we nearly went out of business and had Ayresome Park closed down. We played our games at Hpools Victoria Park,
 Share this content via...

Or even the big clubs, the top six could just throw in £35k each, or whatever.
 Share this content via...

Unfortunately Sky and that nice Mr Murdock could not care a cows left hanger for the little guys all he wants is money coming the other way in to HIS pocket. Jeff Stelling is poised to steer a supporters trust and/or pony up as required.  Hartlepool have been dodging bullets since before I was born. It will be tough but they'll dodge this one too. Mooks   60 #9 Posted January 18, 2018 Thanks for moving the thread didn't think l had it in the right place. Nice to see we care on other clubs problems.. See Darlington another North East club went out of business mostly due to there chairman building a 25.000 seater stadium saying be in premier league in 5 years ...But hes in jail due to safe cracking lol.. But theres still a club and have a new small stadium that's full most games .. So it can be done but shouldn't get to this problem in first place..
