Did you know about Gloria Stewart and her quest to bring a little Christmas cheer to the lonely people of South Yorkshire?

Every year since 2008 Gloria has put on a free lunch, with wine and a Christmas present each, for as many of the lonely people of South Yorkshire as she can find. Last year that meant finding funds to pay for over 400 Christmas presents and Christmas lunches.

Could you donate to help Gloria out? How about volunteering to serve, help in the kitchen, pour wine for people?

Just been reading their Facebook page and seems a good charity that is actually doing something in Sheffield.

Isn't it lovely to find someone who is doing something which is apparently small but can mean so much to so many people?

Grosvenor Casino has donated 20kg of Turkey.

2 of our suppliers will also be offering items, 3663 with Mince Pies and Birtwistles the Butchers (Manchester) Additional meat items.

All for a great cause!

I have just secured Pigs in Blankets and another 20kg of Turkey for this event from a Manchester Butchers called Birtwistles that supply our casinos....

So 40kg of turkey is a good start point....
