PC game DLC, very few price cuts?

Recommended Posts

As above, there are exceptions, mafia 3 DLC is reduced, but only on a couple of sites, but most PC DLC is ridiculously priced, AC/Origins Curse of the Pharaohs' is still full price, etc.

feel very tempted to erm....

Yeah DLC is weird, sometimes buying the whole game with DLC (GoTY, etc) is cheaper than the season pass due to sales, but if you already OWN the game, you can't.

Its like they WANT to discourage early adopters by not dropping the price of DLC at the same time as the GoTY/Complete edition of the game does.  Then they start moaning that games flopped at launch because everyone waited for the "complete" edition, its mental.

This is true, sometimes is even cheaper to buy the whole GOTY or GOLD edition of the game  with everything included (this was the case with The Divison), then separate DLC.

Try to find  the price of the the season pass, sometimes is much cheaper.

Not sure if this was a good buy but Assassins Creed Origins Seasons Pass for PC is £19.99 on CDKeys.com.  I though it was worth it just for Curse Of The Pharohs' as that is quite an expansive DLC with a fair bit of content and also fun to play.

Ubisoft sometimes have decent sales, then with the 20% off using points just for playing their games, they are actually one of the better publishers on PC for this and its usually cheaper to just buy off UPlay directly due to this.

Console based DLC is usually quite a bit cheaper, but even that can get pricey for the good stuff.

Although to be honest I pretty much gave up on PC gaming years ago when the original Xbox came out.
