Dashcam installer recommendations required

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of a good dashcam fitting company? I'm looking for a full established company, not an odd job man. Thanks.

Fit it yourself. Installed mine in 10 mins, hardwired and all cables hidden except for the inch needed from the headliner to the mount.

I would, if in my van, but into my wife's £31k SUV I want a specialist. Having a pop myself would probably also endanger it's 7yr bumper to bumper warranty.

They're based in Wakefield which is probably further than you'd like but highly recommended.

They recently fitted cameras and a Ghost Anti-theft system to a friend's brand new Mustang GT.

You can't tell it's been apart.

You are a telecoms engineer and won't tackle something as simple as fitting a dashcam? :suspect:

If you are that worried about the warranty, just take it to the main dealer and get them to install it.

Is Halford's fitting service any good?

It depends where you go I suppose.

I saw a kid struggling to change an offside headlight bulb on a late model Ford Ka at Crystal Peaks Halfords. When I told him that it would be quicker to remove the wheel and slacken off the wheel arch liner, he said that he wasn't allowed to take wheels off. :suspect:

I'm not an odd job man, every job has its professional, I expect and require a professional service and will be paying for that.

There's no corrolation between telecommunications and the job I require.

You don't have to take it to the main dealer for work, but if you want to keep the warranty up you can't have it serviced by your grandad.

Right on, warranty claims are just as hard to negotiate as an insurance claim i.e. give them a loophole and they will bury you in it. You are right to get a proven installer, without a doubt.

I used Halfords at Chesterfield on Tuesday last. £30 and it took 25 minutes. The Mercedes garage, where I was having the car serviced, quoted me £125.
