One off Tomorrow's World

Recommended Posts

One off 'Tomorrow's World` to be shown on 22/11/18.

Surely the BBC should still be making a regular programme such as this? However it was never the same when Raymond Braxted & Willam Woolard left?

Remembering all the technology the programme promised, I thought that by now I could have traded the Fiesta in for a personal jet pack.

It was an excellent programme of it's time. We always watched it.

PS/ It was Raymond Baxter not Braxted.

Exactly. I want one of those mobile phones they showed, not this little thing I've got to use now.

Imagine a mugger trying to nick a mobile Philbin showed you. While the phone's being grabbed you could hit them over the head with 10kg of battery pack.

I loved the theme tune to Tomorrow's World by Johnny Dankworth in the 70s & 80s. I think at the fag end of the show's run they'd change the theme tune to something more 'up to date'. Needless to say the music or titles weren't as good.

A bit of Tomorrow's World reminiscing from 1969.

A remember they talked about a computer being the size of a sugar cube. I suppose they were almost right with the latest mini Raspberry Pi's.
