Mister M   1,608 #13 Posted November 24, 2017 This really is an iconic building. Haven’t they got enough student flats .?  You can never have too many student flats or 'luxury apartments'!
 Share this content via...
alchresearch   214 #14 Posted November 24, 2017 This is not the building which is being considered for student flats. It is the old printing works on York Street and Hartshead which are under discussion, as shown on the map in the City Council planning Portal  True, but when people talk of the old Star Building and use the phrase "iconic", it certainly doesn't apply to that disappointing factory looking building round the back. parkydave   10 #16 Posted November 24, 2017 The front of the star building can be described as iconic but like it as been said the rear is an old industrial building and I would have thought that the development of it will be welcome . Not sure about more student flats but apartments will be an improvement inner city living keeps the area alive all the time . Most of them still to let because they're an extortionate cost. If you work minimum wage you can't afford to even dream of living there. Brings a lot of life to the city centre, as do students, without whom this city would be a hell of a lot worse off.
 Share this content via...
