nightrider   13 #1 Posted July 19, 2017 Hello,  I have what looks a bit like salts forming on the wall by a radiator pipe. The paint has also extensively flaked off there. So I am wondering if this might be damp caused by a leak in the radiator pipe (internally in the wall - I cannot find any evidence of leaks outside the wall from the radiator). I'm not sure who I would get to look at this though - a plumber, builder or some kind of damp specialist?  Thanks!  N
 Share this content via...
TimmyR Â Â 10 #2 Posted July 19, 2017 If you have a leak from the radiator then the pressure will drop in your heating system. A plumber would be able to confirm this if you don't know how to do it yourself. Usually there's a pressure gauge on your boiler though. If this stays constant then you don't have a leak (you'd have to check over several days) Â If you don't have a leak then you'll need a damp specialist.
