My landlord set up a separated gas meter in my flat and the unit is imp ( Elster Gas Meter) . geared   303 #2 Posted July 28, 2017 (edited) Yes it is confusing, your meter reads in one unit but you are billed by the kilowatt hour of gas (kWh)  Your gas meter measures in 100's of cubic feet? (Ft3) ? To convert (Ft3) to cubic meters (M3) you multiply by 2.83  To convert cubic meters of gas (M3) into kWh:  (M3) x 1.02264 x 39.5 ÷ 3.6 = kWh  To get the price multiply number of kWh by you unit price (probably 3-4p per unit or something?)  ---------- Post added 28-07-2017 at 12:38 ----------  Depending on your unit price 1 imp is going to be (roughly) 60p-£1.20 Edited July 28, 2017 by geared Share this post Link to post Share on other sites Share this content via...
