Shirebrook Valley Dog Walking

anyone go dog walking in shirebrook valley?

 

thinking of taking harvey there at the weekend,wondered what best entrance is and where it is!!! :confused:

they're all over the place! where do you live?

 

if you're not in woodhouse or beighton, so you're coming by car, you're probably best parking at the nature reserve car park, accessed down stone lane, near coisley hill roundabout

 

other entrances can be found by prodding about on google maps aerial photos

 

what sort of dog is harvey?

I used to walk down there when I lived at Beighton and its really lovely,enjoy!

Harvey is a stafford terrier.

 

we actually now live in the S2 area,having lived near richmond road previous.

 

 

think i know where that car park is now....you have refreshed the memory, cheers mate

I used to walk there reguarly when I lived in Beighton and sometimes still have a little jaunt when I visit my mum in Hackenthorpe, her house backs onto the connecting footpaths. :thumbsup:

just becareful on the stone lane area. we take stanley every night he had a terrible cut two weeks ago through idiots dumping in the grass. he jumped straight on to a pile of dumped pint pots just about cut his little paw in two. nice lot of vets bills too.

i love it down there i grew up round there but please just becareful

I'd like to know how this sort of stuff gets down there when there's supposed to be a locked gate across it :suspect:

 

I notice there's less building rubble down there now - since somebody was caught at it :P
