Painting rubber window seals

Any decorators out there who have successfully painted the rubber seals on double glazed windows with something that doesn't flake and crack? Something other than black - we have painted our dark brown frames in near white colours using ordinary paints (whatever we used for the frames at the time) and of course it doesn't last.
