Long term it's a joke currency. The joke will get old & it will die. Short term profits were all it was good for & you missed out on that. There are better alternative coins to try that aren't just a joke & solve some of the problems that bitcoin has.

They're a scam & you missed it, they're on their way back into obscurity now ... http://coinmarketcap.com/

that url is showing wrong data!!, dogecoins have risen today, not dropped 15%!!

So OP wasted a bunch of time mining Dogecoins and is trying to make it seem like they're the next big thing.

It's lost a lot today, not just 15% - http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/dogebtc

The other graph includes how many get mined (a lot!) so you don't see the price fall as dramatically, the total amount invested in dogecoin has fallen 13.5% today. It peaked a day or two ago, you missed it.

The price has fallen from 0.00000220 to 0.00000180 today, so if you bought some last night & sold them tonight you'd have lost 20% of your money in one day.

They were quite a big thing if you bought in a week ago & sold a couple of days ago, opportunity has been missed now though, they'll never recover in price.

Bit coins are not unlike "real money". Their values are both based on faith in that currency without anything real backing it up.

The reason every one of the virtual coins dropped is because someone just been arrested trying to do naugyty things with bitcoins today, not good tor all currencies tbh
