BBC Horizon: The Microprocessor 1978

Recommended Posts

All very familiar stuff, and an interesting scan through and trip down memory lane. I started out coding for the 6502A CPU, and also worked extensively with 68000, ARM7, and PC processors. Can remember optimising code, instruction pipeline sequencing etc, those were the days, now it's (at least in my line) C++ and there isn't the same need for code optimisation (way faster CPU's today).

Oooh! Motorola 68000 - If only I could have afforded an Amiga 3000! ;)

Yay! Was just an Amiga 500 for me. Still have it somewhere, it's a little sad looking now, and yellow! :)

I've still got an A1500 with 2Mb ZIP RAM and 1 Gb SCSI Drive, Communicator to talk to PC, and CD32 Game console. Which has just ee minded me that the old Prince of Persian is now freely available in DOS a day runs great on Voyager 16.04.
