you get the feeling no-one else goes out cos nobody else comments on a thread about drinking in January when it's nearly May?

Yep, that could be it...

Haven't thought of one for May yet

It's May and the long hot summers evenings are just around the corner. I can't think of an alcohol related handle for May yet.
Never-the-less l will ponder such a thing whilst enjoying a couple of pints at my local pub and a couple in the club, contributing, as it were, to the local economy. Finishing off, as ever, with a Captain Morgan dark rum

A pint in your local sounds like just the tonic after a week at work. Sir, you are to be congratulated in your efforts to contribute to the local economy.

I like a pint of mild now and again. The one in the Brown Bear is good and Wetherspoons have a few good ones every so often. Banks's Mild is very good.

"To Mild May!"

I think well call it "Mayld"
