Veritas 8 Burglar alarm advice

I've just moved into a new house but dont have any codes for my veritas 8 alarm, does anyone know a reset code i could use?

Found this online...

Remove the lid of the control panel,be prepaired for the sounders to start,dont panic turn off the mains supply to the control panel then remove one of the battery

leads.There is a spring in the middle at the top of the circuit board turn on the mains supply and press this spring in and release again ( three times ).Reconnect the battery lead,refit the lid of the panel.The code number is now 4321 enter this number then press reset.You should now be able to use this system now.

unfortunalty thats just not possible.

As for the rest of the posts .... feel free, reboot it .....I guarantee it wont work afterwards but at least you`ll think it is.

see the default settings are NOT suitable for using "straight out of the box" on this particular panel, at best you`ll need a full manuall and a half decent understanding of how the system was originally set up, at worst the original installer "locked" the codes and you`ll be left with setting you cant use and no way to alter them - priceless.

makes no difference but lets not let the "i know how to disable your alarm" crowd into our little secret

ill bet you £1000 you can mr know it all seeing as how i have the installation manual infront of me and i did one with the exact same problem last week:hihi:

Found this online...

A customer moved into new premises and wasn't given any codes. The engineer code had been altered so couldn't change any zones. I contacted Veritas directly and they gave me the same instruction. This however will only work if the engineers code hasn't been locked.

mate - unfortunatly if it involves alarms then yes I REALLY AM "MR KNOW IT ALL" I`ve been involved with them for the last 30 odd years.

YOU simply cannot reboot the system without it actiavting - end off.
