Assault on Langsett estate 14/08/2018

Recommended Posts

Just had a police house to house visit asking questions about a serious assault nearby at about 6.45 pm last night. The police helicopter was out flying very low over the area last night but I didn't see/hear anything else. A bit worrying as it's usually quite peaceful around here:o

Im guessing its this incident...

A man stabbed near to a Sheffield park has been given a slim chance of survival, according to a worried relative. The 21-year-old was knifed in his chest close to Walkley Park, off Greaves Street, Walkley, at around 6.50pm yesterday and was rushed to the Northern General Hospital.

An air ambulance landed in the park after reports of the stabbing were received. He was stabbed three times and underwent emergency surgery.

That is tragic. Another young person needlessly murdered. How awful for his family and friends.

Are these crimes happening to everyday members of the public, innocently going about their business, or is this related to drug gang crime?

If it's the former then it's a real concern. If it's the latter then it's still a concern but less so imo because these vermin deserve to cancel each other out.

its about time mr plod and his team took a strong stance on this and cracked down on these crimes, people go about selling drugs with no worries of being caught, causing misery in deprived areas, and they get in there big range rovers ect and the police seem to do nothing, surely they could make there lives difficult if they wished, then crime and knifes would be less of a problem in my view.
