Jared Omara MP ..

nikki-red

We understand that this is an emotive subject, and discussing the facts is totally fine.
Posting insults is not.
Jared is local to us, and could well be a member of the forum, we dont allow name calling and insults on other threads and they arent acceptable on this one either.

The fact that he quit the Labour Party after being reinstated rather than face the mandatory requirement to attend training to address his behaviour/attitudes they insisted on doesn't bode well for any claims that he has learned any lessons.

Instead of just calling for people to give him another chance why don't you provide evidence that he's doing things that would lead people to think he deserves another chance?

You've made a good point, actually taking the issues on board would have been a step in the right direction. Instead Mr O'Mara chose to cite that he was treated badly because he is underprivileged and working class.

Did you read his interview this article is referring to - or just this article on it?

If it’s the latter - give the former a read for a bit more context in the comments he made.

I read it and I listened to his speech. I understand that the online comments were a long time ago, but there has been more than one complaint made about fairly recent behaviour. That's why I think undertaking training to help with his attitude & behaviour towards others would have been the right thing to do if he genuinely wants people to believe he has changed.

So . Sicknote finally made his maiden speech in parliament ,on the last day , just before the summer holiday :suspect: Seeing as he avoided his mandatory training by jumping ship , is he now going to get his hands dirty by getting into the nuts and bolts of helping his constituents ?

We seem to have a run of councillors with a difference in Sheffield. I can see that with the physical and mental challenges he has had to overcome he is going the right way.

Forge Today is claiming Jared has stepped down from Parliamentary duties from this week, I wish he has just gone through the equalities training, etc(though usually i am cautious about 're-education') I am not sure his position is tenable now.

That was today on the 18th July, 2 weeks ago. He's made his maiden speech in the house since - just saying.

It is a very worthy cause. Well done to all three MPs for raising the profile of the campaign.

I’m not really sure what you are moaning about.

Its a stock response from an MP that has done sweet nothing. If you asked any left wing person what they would do they could generate this response. It may not even have been written by him.

What has he really done as an MP nothing. He should have resigned as an MP rather than just with the party and called a by election. To be honest I'd rather have Clegg back at least he did something.

The only reason he hasn't resigned and called a by election is he likes the MP's salary.
