Looking to buy a classic car

Hiya Guys, i am looking to buy a classic car sometime in the future, has anyone got any good advice to share, i am perhaps looking for an old Morris from the 30's or 40's.

are there any pitfalls that i should watch out for?

Join the relevant owners club.... talk to owners and users....you might be best buying from them.

Go to car shows and meets, talk to the owners there...

My dad has finally decided to sell his beloved Ford Pubic , Its built out of old Corsairs :)
