HC HC HC   10 #244 Posted December 18, 2011 Just up from B&Q, across the road from Halfords, Golf Pro & Dunelm Mill, on Queen's Road, is Haggler's Corner.  This is a disused factory which is going through a massive renovation and transformation, and will be complete next year.  The idea is to create up to 15 studios / workshops, all based on creativity and craft. Already up and running is a dressmaker, jewelry design, acting, yoga, healing therapy and a few more. There will be a micro brewery and carpentry workshops soon too. These units surround an open courtyard, which will soon act as a seating area for the cafe, a place where people can meet up and relax, creating a community atmosphere, based on craft, and creativity.  They have held a series of awareness events, introducing people to this exciting development in the centre of Sheffield, which have all been very successful.  Today, to welcome the festive period, they are holding a Yuletide Market in the charismatic studio which will eventually serve as the showroom, and retail outlet for many of the items crafted at Haggler's Corner.  Mulled Wine, Homemade Cakes, Textiles, Beautiful Jewelry, Gifts, Henna, Face Painting, Books, Live Entertainment and more! The event is free to all, and runs from 12 -5 so come along and have a look! It should be a cosy, charismatic, interesting, fun and enjoyable day!!  Plus....although space is now limited, if by chance any stall holders who are free today, have any nice items they wish to sell, give me a call, I might be able to squeeze you in. As this is the first event Haggler's Corner are holding of this kind, we are unsure of the footfall, and so will only require a £10 pitch fee, which includes a table (if you are interested, please try and bring your own table covering).
