PIEMUNCHER Â Â 10 #1 Posted November 17, 2018 Hoping for a bit of help on this one. Been wanting to find out a bit of history and what ships my grandad was crew on during the second world war. Unfortunately as he is no longer with us I can not ask and I am unable to find even his service number or how I would get his record. If anybody has any experience or ideas for me they would be gratefully received.
 Share this content via...

pintor   32 #3 Posted November 18, 2018 I've tried many times to find my dad's ex shipmates and info over the years whilst he was still alive, now it's too late unfortunately. The only things I have are what he himself saved from his navy service. If you want old photos Wright & Logan were the best, I think their stock is now Part of the RN museum in Portsmouth. zoco   10 #5 Posted December 2, 2018 http://www.royalnavyresearcharchive.org.uk/Records_page.htm  Just follow the instructions there but you will have to pay, currently £30 with production of your dad's death certificate. Best of luck in your search.
 Share this content via...
