Football finances

Recommended Posts

It comes as no surprise that a number of clubs in the Championship are feeling the pinch in the pocket. The daft money being spent on mediocre players is nothing short of financial suicide .We here that one club who were in the play off's would listens to bids for all their players because of financial pressures they find them selves in.Aston Villa who still are receiving parachute payments from the prem have had to come to some arrangement regarding a tax bill of just 4 million quid.Villa are supposed to be one of the big guys in the division and they have flung cash at the manager to deliver prem football and they have failed now the bills want paying.Only four clubs in this league have made money last year and one of those because a loan was wiped clean.Sooner than later the birds will come home to roost and they will all have to live in the real world now that will be interesting.

From what I understand The Owner who taken over At Villa had the wrong Advisers in place and in turn it all went wrong (With Advisers fleecing the owner of money) according to a Villa fan friend of mine , all sounds very familiar to owls fans

Two good buds of mine are STH at Villa, seems their chairmans had his wings clipped back in his home country as their fed up of money leaving the country in such large amounts,so the chinese authorities slapped a limit on him.

The guy hes just put all the blame on,was actually juggling all the balls & warned of the forethcomming disaster, thats why they sat so far apart at the PO final,he called in the transfer payment for Westwood early to pay the wages and get the club through the month, but the owner failed to transfer the tax dosh into the clubs account.

Its a proper mess, theyve hiked Grealish around for 30M and had no nibbles, everyone knows its a firesale, theyl be lucky to get above 5M

Owner now wants to sell but faces writing off a huge debt first,Bruce has said hel stay, but is unpopular with a majority fans, club has to find 7M each month to be solvent or accrue huge debts and breach FFP with a poss 10 point deduction to boot.......proper drama

This is a perfect example of mediocre players going for daft money .What I have seen of Grealish he is nothing special he is very good at acting and diving so should do well in the prem.
