They called me that in the platoon after I collected twelve and six in bob a job week, that was more than the rest of the regiment put together.

Two years ago, Sue has a display of crystal and cut glass and we used a shop there that sold beautiful spun glass items, out of the blue she said "do you fancy a run to Blackpool to go to the glass shop and Harry Ramsdens.
We got there and found the shop was closing down for good so we ended up with loads of bargains and Christmas boxes before finding the chippie.

What we both commented on was the state of the place, it was filthy and one in two boarding houses were up for sale, it's definitely not the place it was.

PS the airport went bust and closed down yesterday.
