Does anybody know where I can rent or buy secondhand generators from in sheffield? Im struggling to get hold of one. Thankyou

Erm, only enough to run a few outdoor lights. 600w or above should do it, don't need a biggie, 2 stroke should be fine.

They are only about £50-60 to buy in Makro or JTF !

Those made in China gennies are a waste of time particular the Wolf Brand. Something to do with the carbs and our petrol. Stick to Honda engines.

 

Most Hire shops hire out generators.

Better to buy and then sell on. You have come-back if anything goes wrong. Expensive at first but worth it in the long run.

Generators from the tool hire co's can have large fluctuations in output voltage, which is OK because they are for running plant. If you want to power something more sensitive to voltage fluctuations, such as sound equipment, you may need a generator with Auto Volt Regulation.
