garethe   10 #1 Posted April 4, 2014 The SFBC AGM provides an opportunity to review the club's activities over the previous year and to get people's thoughts and ideas on the next 12 months. Attending the AGM will also entitle you to a free session of badminton with SFBC.  At each AGM, a new committee is appointed to run the club for the following 12 months. The current committee is:  Chairperson. Gareth Evans Secretary. Jen Foster Treasurer. Celine Day Social Sec. Michelle Lee  Gareth and Jen are happy to continue in their current roles next year, but a new Treasurer and Social Sec. are required as Celine and Michelle have decided to step down from the committee. The club would like to thank them for their hard work over the past few years.  Anyone is welcome to nominate themselves or another person (with their agreement!) to stand for any committee post. The closing date for nominations is Tuesday 29th April and in the event that multiple nominations are received for a post, a vote will be held to determine the outcome.  The committee work together and share tasks amongst one another, however this is a guide to the responsibilities of each role.  Chairperson.  Ultimate responsibility for running of club Chair AGM Settle disputes  Secretary.  AGM & committee meeting preparation and minute taking Liaise with league team / Badminton Sheffield / SIV Arrange collection and supply of shuttles  Treasurer.  Collecting & banking of money Produce on-going and season-end accounts Monitor cash flow Book courts  Social Sec.  Organise SFBC social events (approx. one per month)  We hold about four committee meetings per year, and as a member of the committee you get to help shape and promote SFBC.
