'The State' - What did you think?

Recommended Posts

'The State' four part drama on Channel 4, consecutive nights starting Sunday 20th August 2017.

I'm surprised this hasn't prompted more comments, particularly in the face of media criticism that it 'promoted recruitment to terrorism' (Daily Mail...)

In an effort to inform myself, I made myself watch this to the very end, and it wasn't easy, but I'm glad I did. It certainly wasn't a recruitment drive as far as I could see, and as far as I know (and that's not much) it was a fair depiction of what's going on.

It came across to me as an important piece of film making.

What did other people think?

i think it was a very good piece and doubt it sent out a recruitment message quite the opposite and if it didnt put off easily influenced Islamic nutters then i dont know what will, quite a clever piece of drama.
