Hopman   46 #1 Posted May 23, 2006 Does anyone remember going to see Pegasus Theatre Group in the 1970s? They used to give three shows a year 2 at the Merlin and 1 at the Library in the summer, as well as having a touring production which went round the Infant schools. Damon   10 #2 Posted May 23, 2006 Was Pegasus Theatre made up of teachers or something?  I do remember going to see them perform a show in the Library Theatre. It was called 'The Circus Adventure' (or something like that) - went with a party from infant school. Only got the vaguest of memories of it though. It would have been 1973 or 1974. mummyk   10 #3 Posted July 19, 2018 I used to perform with Pegasus as a child. Through my late headteacher from primary school. It was mainly teachers and then a few of us children. It was the best years of my life. Touring round schools performing at the age of 10+ I continued into secondary and performed in many shows including ‘that’s entertainment ‘ ‘the great Sheffield flood’ and one about something that included a compost song
 Share this content via...
Mike_Lydiat   10 #4 Posted May 6, 2021 I wrote the song Dale Dyke Dam Disaster which was used in the Pegasus play about the Great Sheffield Flood. Yes - the group was mostly teachers - children were involved in some productions I think in the days when the council sponsored visits to various schools. Happy days!
