gluedtopc   10 #102 Posted September 23, 2018 This thread’s a bit old. Any up-to date recommendations? I’m not really after the cheapest, just good quality. Thanks.
 Share this content via...
charliewag   19 #103 Posted September 23, 2018 I've turfed my back garden today. I ordered it from A1 turf supplies on Attercliffe and had it delivered yesterday. Quality turf at a reasonable price.
 Share this content via...
gluedtopc   10 #104 Posted September 23, 2018 Thanks for that. I’ll give them a call. I’m thinking about putting some weed inhibitor fabric under the new lawn area. What are your thoughts on that?
 Share this content via...
charliewag   19 #105 Posted September 23, 2018 I think a weed inhibitor fabric would prevent the grass roots from bedding into the soil. I just rotavated the area, removing any sizeable stones, weeds and other debris. I then raked it level before laying the turf. gluedtopc   10 #106 Posted September 25, 2018 Sorry, what I meant to say was I might put it under 3-4 inches of soil with the turf on top.
 Share this content via...
Steptoad   12 #107 Posted July 22, 2021 (edited) Does anybody know if A1 Turf Supplies are still in business?  Tried to phone them using the number on their website, but a recorded message told me that the number had change, but there was no answer on the 'new' number. Anybody got any clues.  Edited July 22, 2021 by Steptoad
 Share this content via...
