GOLDEN OLDIE Â Â 15 #1 Posted November 4, 2017 Is it just me but some of the programmes on my new state of the art television are DARK!!! Main culprits are Gunpowder, Victoria and Poldark. Have turned brightness as far as it will go. Is anyone else experiencing this?
 Share this content via...
andrejuan   10 #2 Posted November 4, 2017 Yes, it seems to be the new "atmospheric" tool in programme making. Driven I think by the new wave of hi.def. TV's that can display dark with some level of detail. I'm not keen myself, there is dark, and too dark. What irritates me more is the poor sound quality and the mumbling, or is it my age :-)? When we bought my parents a new TV some of the programmes looked a bit dark and then we discovered a few extra options like setting the picture mode to dynamic that made all the difference. So I was going to mention Monkey Dust.
 Share this content via...
