El Cid   214 #26 Posted September 23, 2018 Fine, full time none-higher education. Are you still surprised? Do you think it should change somehow?  I dont have a great knowledge of education policy, to me a good principle would be that all education is good, and is obviously free for young people.  At what point does education become too expensive for the state to provide for free? And then its a matter of how those in education are supported. Parents with young children are supported, but when should that support be relinquished?  Children and adults are taught specific education that relates to employment. Who should pay for work-related education, the state, the employer or the individual?
 Share this content via...
Cyclone   10 #27 Posted September 23, 2018 Clearly at the moment the state thinks that degree level education is something that should be funded through 'loans' that sort of act like a graduate tax on the person being educated, but that prior to that education should be free, and indeed whilst their children are being educated low income parents are eligible for a small benefit to help them.  Specific education that relates to employment? At secondary or college level?
 Share this content via...
