Does having no MOT invalidate insurance?

Recommended Posts

It might be a classic e-type Ive just lovlingly restored to its former glory, just waiting for me to take it for an MOT!

But, it's still worth less than a classic e-type that you'd lovingly restored that had passed its MOT, so they would pay you the lower value. That's how insurance works.

I think they would, but I do think that if you had an MOT lapse, they might refuse, on the basis that you didn't disclose a material fact. I think it's very difficult to say though unless in that situation
