Shabby Chic furniture.

Recommended Posts

Hi ya all!

The missus has gone shabby chic crazy.Dragging me around charity shops looking for furniture. After purchasing a nice old and very decorative piece for the bedroom.I have been given the task of sanding it down,re-painting,and then battering it about,(to make it look old again)

I have looked at shabby chic furniture on the internet, and similar pieces are around £600-£800. We paid £60 down from £120.Is anyone else on the forum going or gone shabby chici? Because,it seems the place to go is the charity shops everywhere else we have looked are extortionate.

It will be out of fashion next year, save your money, but something simple and stylish instead.

My entire dining room is 2nd hand, from the rug to the table to the dresser to the china in it, I love one of a kind stuff.
