Sounds very dangerous to me

It is rogets. I'd stay well away if I were you. All those fit people in tight lycra is known to give unsuspecting members of the public a heart attack.

I think records are set to tumble when the schools restart and the students return.

Roger Sarge, Thanks for the bump.

3 mentions in Elliot Line's numbers here - http://www.elliottline.com/parkrun/2017/9/3/uk-parkrun-attendance-stats-2nd-september-2017

Two major items worthy of note in the Yorks & Humber region both occurred on 12 Aug:

- Rother Valley (365) set a new attendance record

- It was the first week all 40 regional parkruns were run on the same day (previous highest had been 38).

This week saw runs at 40/40 parkruns in the Yorkshire & Humber region.

Total region attendance was 9852; an increase of 737 (8.1%) from last week. This was the highest cumulative attendance since 03-Jun (the last time attendance exceeded 10000).

Of the 39 venues that ran both last week and this, 21 had an increase in attendance, 15 saw a decrease and three(Northallerton (90), Rother Valley (294) and Rotherham (69)) were the same.

Northallerton has now had an attendance of 90 for three of the last five weeks and four in the last ten; Rotherham has had 69 on three of the last six weeks (and a 68).

It was Brighouse's first anniversary.

Over the region as a whole, the average Saturday parkrun attendance has increased over the last year by 27% when compared to the previous year (from 6986 to 8842).

Hi, I've never done parkrun before and would probably struggle to jog the whole way. Do any people walk some of it at Hallam?

Yup - plenty of people walk, some walk / run, some charge at it, blow up and walk the last mile. There's no judgement at Parkrun, it's all good :)

I ran Doncaster on Saturday, record attendance on their 4th anniversary - great turnout, cake and smiles - was slightly tempered by a brief memorial at the start for the poor man who lost his life there a year ago.
