WestTinsley   11 #1 Posted August 21, 2017 (edited) This happened yesterday evening 2 loud bangs after driving past the top of Empire Road(crescent rd) along Montgomery Road,Sharrow on the no.3 bus into Nether Edge thankfully no one was hurt..although the bus driver was shook up by it ..2 windows hit. Due to the 2 small holes in 2 windows it could only have been either a gun or an air gun..  Footage after the incident here Edited August 28, 2017 by WestTinsley Top section of empire rd is infact confusingly called crescent rd. hotrock   10 #2 Posted August 21, 2017 I have seen catapults with steel bearings cause as much damage as this, less likely to be as obvious as an air rifle etc whilst they walk the streets
 Share this content via...
WestTinsley   11 #3 Posted August 21, 2017 (edited) It made much more of a bang than a brick could have. Plus if it was a catapult theyd have had to be quick. There were two small holes a metre apart by whatever was fired at a fast moving bus ... ANGELFIRE1   10 #6 Posted August 21, 2017 Most likely to be a b b gun  Not powerful enough to break a bus window. Same goes for a "legal" 12 foot pounds max air gun, not powerful enough to shoot through a bus window.  Angel1.
 Share this content via...

bassett one   451 #8 Posted August 22, 2017 there seems to be a spate of this type of crime and its only a matter of time before some one gets injured or blinded or even killed, there have been several shooting by air rifles at park staff in greenhill, lowedges, and batemoor and 3 people shot at 11.30pm on greenhill park on aug 13th ,clearing the last remnants of the lowedges festival, the staff were shot,2x flesh injurys, police and dog unit visited, but alas no culprits caught,so we could be having a epidemic on our hands. spilldig   188 #9 Posted August 22, 2017 One bus on Eastbank Road about 15 years ago was fired on by something that went clear through the bus i'e through one side window, across the bus and then out through the opposite side window. It escalates.  They had the same issue in New York and Mayor Giuliani brought in zero tolerance policing and introduced the 'Broken windows theory'.  Its now one the greatest cities on earth.
