Infowars and the rise of the british far right?

Recommended Posts

So...........just read this story

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/aug/05/far-right-protesters-ransack-socialist-bookshop-bookmarks-in-london

About far right members ransacking a socialist bookshop, and in the article it states

A far-right protest against censorship of the conspiracy theory website Infowars took place in central London on Saturday at which protesters were seen with the same placards. Others wore “Make Britain Great Again” caps.

i've not actually seen anything else mention such a protest, did a far right protest in London actually happen? Was it large? small? involved in this bookshop ransacking?

I do know Alex Jones is being held accountable for "lies" hes been telling.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/31/us/politics/alex-jones-defamation-suit-sandy-hook.html

I presume this (and the odd video etc being taken down) is the reason for any protests?

It's weird there would be actual street protests over here in a major city about a yank and his crank stories?

It also shows the far right is on the rise and taking more action onto the streets.

I do hope that the masks were made by a Jewish firm, and that they made a disgustingly huge profit on them. ;)

facebook evil....

Which is ironic, given that the far right mainly exist now as Facebook groups.

Had the attack taken place on say, the offices of the Daily Mail by the far left, I suppose that would be fine.

Are the far left known for carrying out attacks on newspaper offices?

Maybe you could enlighten us with an example.

another one that cant talk purely about the topic in hand...ie:- a RIGHT wing attack on a bookshop.

If you want to start a topic on left wing attacks feel free, but this ones about the right wing, an attack on a bookshop and an infowars protest.

Its also ironic that the protest was about censorship and freedom of speech yet some alledgedly broke off to attack a bookshop selling books they didnt agree with, especially ones on islamophobia

So censorship and freedom of speech is only allowed if you agree with the subject matter

as for the bookshop attack, it mentions somebody in a donald trump mask, sadly it doesnt mention if he had a suit and tie on. But theres only 1 person that i can tell in the youtube video with a donald trump mask on, and he does lift it up once or twice so if it is him, he'll get busted

also it looks like theres only about 20 - 25 "cranks" there

LOL the irony is, after a woman spoke about Israel, Anti-semitism, Labour and the BBC theres a heckler, as soon as the man starts talking, the main guy tells him to step back and shut up as hes not a scheduled speaker.........free speech? :hihi:

They agreed to abide by terms and conditions to use a privately owned service when they signed up. You break those ts and cs and you get deleted/shutdown/whatever action is specified. Hate speech is breaking those ts and cs so what exactly did they think would happen?
