rudds1 Â Â 102 #1 Posted July 2, 2018 Has anyone got sheffield council to contribute to repair costs ? I share path with neighbour but it's in a poorish state so wondered if I could get council to contribute to cost if I arrange for it to be sorted .i know if council does it they would expect some of cost off me .i don't want council doing it as I want more than the shared bit doing it but if I have to let council do so be it (only want council contributing for shared part )
 Share this content via...

Jeffrey Shaw   83 #4 Posted July 3, 2018 Council own next door only OK- so look at the deed plan re your house (perhaps when RTB completed). It should show the extent of the easements (= joint paths etc.) The Deed's text should stipulate: a. which house's owner is obliged to maintain the path; and b. what contributions each house's owner has to pay.
