Talks due on July 2nd and then 2 weeks notice prior to any action.

Not exactly panic stations. Is it?

I understand that dates have already been given to Stagecoach.

What does 26p/hour translate to in a % increase on yearly wage for the average supertram worker?

More importantly, at the moment, please be aware that there will be no service between Birley Lane and Halfway from 23rd June (this Saturday) until 8th August.

Rail Replacement Works.

I had always assumed that drivers were on better pay than those averages reported.

(don't know why, just an impression)

Conductors: £9.40

Drivers: £11.78

They’re the worst paid of all the UK’s tram networks. Metrolink drivers earn up to £28k. There is no such progression at Supertram.

Wow! They want more than NHS workers who save lives!

And fail to mention the increases in previous years when everyone had pay freezes etc.

Theyre paid well as it is. 26p per hour is a very decent pay rise .

No sympathy for them

Erm...

“More than one million NHS staff, including nurses, porters and paramedics, are being offered increases of at least 6.5% over three years - with some getting as much as 29%.”

“the lowest full-time salary - paid to the likes of cleaners, porters and catering staff - will rise by 15% to more than £18,000”

Do you know if qualification to drive the tram/trains gets them closer to train driver's pay?

What were your increases over last 5 years when nhs/public sector got 1%?

I believe it’s an extra £2k a year. So no.

I work in the public sector so 1%.

A conductor earns about £17k a year. A driver about &22k. Train drivers earn £55k ish.
