Fell running. There are few friendlier sports and more accessible than it sounds. Various clubs in sheffield, smiley paces is a girls only club who'd give you a great intro.

I was gonna suggest korfball as well,don't know anything about it, just that a woman was once telling me about her club and it sounded fun and sociable and an opportunity to meet both men and women. Not for me like as I'm far too old for running about with young'uns, have to stick with running and arts martieux

Depends were you live but any park have greens also private ones if you can tell me what area you live in I could suggest some.it really is a good game and men and women can play as equals.there is also a winter scene indoors.
