El Cid   212 #4 Posted October 15, 2017 Say there are two parents who have separated and the parent who has the kids wants to move to another city. Can the parent who does not look after the kids prevent this?  When my daughter was growing up, the courts decided that contact with her dad was very important, because her mother had issues. Contact with both parents is important, moving to another city would be ok in some cases, but not others. Seek some free legal advise.
