The future of democracy across Europe rests with the Irish voters. If the EU has managed to buy and cajole them into voting yes the march of the new Superstate (the new Soviet Union) will go on unabated :gag:

Somewhere down the road our descendants will have to fight to regain our independence and our right to self-determination - for democracy itself.

It shouldn't make any difference because our government promised us a referendum on the subject of an EU constitution. What a pity our government are such a set of lying bast*rds

We are not being bullied. An exit poll after the last referendum revealed that 22% of voters polled had voted "NO" because they did not understand the treaty. This time around more information is available. Ireland has also been given legally binding guarantees in areas which were of concern to a significant proportion of voters last time out, so we are not voting on the same thing all over again. Our NO vote last time bought us these changes, so this is democracy at work. If we vote YES it will be because we are happy with the changes, if we vote NO it will be because we are still not happy with the Lisbon treaty.

They will hopefully say-NO. Again!

Its funny how Britain doesnt get ONE referendum on the EU, but just because Ireland didnt give the EU the result it wanted, they get a second one lol.

Actualy its not funny, its an absolute disgrace.:|

Answer me this Berlin.

If Ireland had voted YES, and then later, an exit poll suggested that 22% of people voted 'YES' because they didnt understand the treaty, would the referendum be held again, 'with more information available' to make sure the Irish made an informed choice?? :hihi::hihi::hihi: yeah right!

Britain deserves a referendum NOW

I see they are allowing what people already have, that should keep the gullible happy.

It has now been confirmed by the EU that:

Ireland, and all other Member States, will keep a Commissioner

Ireland will remain in control of its own tax rates

Irish neutrality will not be affected – no conscription, no defence alliances

Ireland retains control of sensitive ethical issues such as abortion

Workers’ rights and public services are valued and protected in Ireland and across the EU

You answered yourself, and apparently tickled yourself pink. Hope you enjoyed it.

Anyway, we still have the option to vote NO.

Britain's lack of a referendum is Britain's affair, not ours.
