Is it ok to take Metronidazole and Ibuprofen together?

Recommended Posts

Hi

As the thread title states, would it be safe to take those 2 medicines together? - Metronidazole has been prescribed by the dentist, and as we know, Ibuprofen is available over the counter.

Thanks.

The first drug sounds like an inebriated car race. Go ask a pharmaceutical chemist. Don't take any notice of idiots of a Internet Explorer.

I have some (prescribed by the dentist) in my fridge, it's for infections in the roots of teeth. I've used it before with Ibuprofen.

Sounds like your having it a bit rough at the moment. First A&E, then dentist.

Yes it is safe. One is for an infection and the other for pain.

Trust me, even though I know nothing about you, your background, previous ailments, state of health etc, its fine, just fine.

Flipping heck! Instead of asking the quacks on this forum use your access to social media, get the number of your doctor and ask them, failing that a qualified chemist.

I wish you luck in your recovery but please, get professional help.

The Specialist at the hospital, my GP and the chemist told me it was ok to take them in tandem.

Would that be sufficient expertise for you then?
