Duckegg   10 #1 Posted September 11, 2017 Hi, I have a Hoover Spirit upright vacuum cleaner which seems to have some kind of fault. It is picking up stuff ok but the dust doesn't accumulate in the base of the cylinder as it should as it's all sucked up to the filter itself and accumulates on the mesh. I have to clean the filter every couple of cleans - messy job.  It should remain in the cylinder itself until it's emptied but the cylinder is nearly always empty apart from a few bits of fluff; all the grotty fluff is stuck around the filter.  Any help would be appreciated.
