Mac and pc on wireless bt home network

Recommended Posts

I,ve got a wireless homenetwork from bt and an imac hardwired to it....this runs fine on broadband. I also have an ibm thinkpad with wireless on board....this also connect to the wireless fine. My issue is I want them both to see each other....not fine!!!! They see each other with a ping but can't share files etc. If anyone can help they'd save whatever hair I've got left after oulling it all out!

It's highly likely that google will be your friend.. Your main problem is going to be finding a common way to share files as they have different formats, etc.. and there's bound to be a utility out there to help with that.

What OS version are you running on the mac? If OS 9 it's a bit of a headache you'll need a third party app like DAVE...if 10.3 it should just "work" more or less.
