Periwood Estate S8

Hoping for guidance. Currently living in S10 and want to upsize. Can't afford to in S10. Was looking at the Perwiwood Estate in S8 and wondered if anyone has experience of this estate or the area in general. We have a little one on the way so schools/nursery etc also a consideration. Big decision really as the next home we're looking to buy will be the "forever home" and I'm a bit worried as I know nothing about this area at all

Periwood is nice enough, beware some of the houses are stupidly small with "bedrooms" not fit for human habitation. It's quiet and friendly and great for amenities (supermarkets, restaurants and cafe's). There is rarely a whiff of petrol fumes from the petrol station but not often.
