Runningman   142 #25 Posted August 8, 2017 I am aware of the map showing the positions that bombs fell on during the Sheffield Blitz !  Is there a similar map showing locations where bombs dropped from the Zeppelin in 1916.  Is there also information in the form of a map showing the flight path of the Zeppelin over Sheffield ? stpetre   12 #26 Posted August 9, 2017 I don't know if there is reference to this anywhere, but relatives of mine are said to have been bombed out of their house on Lucas Street, Pitsmoor in a Zeppelin raid. I think the terraced house was never rebuilt and remained a gap in the row until their demolition in the 70's. No one was killed as far as I'm aware and the family were re-housed in the pleasant Endcliffe area on Stainton Road ( No,14; the Thompson family. )  Yes, my dad was born on Lucas Street but was a small boy when the incident happened and yes. the bombed site was never rebuilt. Also in Pitsmoor, a Zeppelin inflicted damage including fatalities on Cossey Road (at Earsham Street) ;Picture Sheffield: s00146, that was never rebuilt either.
